Two new interesting world sites, Naukratis and Pelusium, both with high prestige and relatively low yearly requirements. An expedition to Nubia revealed two quarries and a peddler: monkeys! Also this year, I finally have enough bricks and weapons to open the Northern Fort.

Now they’re asking for health facilities, it won’t be long before they want worship access too, so a start was made with two shrines: one for Osiris and one for Hathor. Year five: some people are actually starting to use the apothecary I built. My motto: you can never have too many bricks! A start was made with a scribe’s house, so my tax income will go up. I’ll have to build 5 large mastabas, and those need 160 bricks each. A year later, I added a priest, a school and an apothecary.īricks are needed, and to prevent another brick shortage like I had in Iunet, I built 3 more of them. I expanded my shopping district near the nobles with 4 luxury shops and another set of common shops. In Shemu of that year, after the harvest, the nobles were all back in the green again. Because I had so little farmers, there were only 13 fields planted, not enough for a city this size, so, a year later, I had 3 unhappy noblemen complaining at my palace. The nobles moved in early in the morning of the Peret. The common shops were occupied by the next peret, but only 4 of the farmhouses were. I started out with three nobles, the Palace, 18 farmers, 4 common shops and 2 luxury shops. However, Pharaoh Pecunia I has decreed that her city be built on the west bank, with a workcamp for quarrying basalt on the east bank. The map opens on a nice spot to start building on the east bank. The East bank of the Nile has a basalt quarry, large amounts of floodplain, and little to no risk of flooding. It also has little floodplain available, though it should be enough. The West bank of the Nile has a limestone quarry, ample room, but most of that empty land is flooded during very high inundations. Since there is no pre-built village here, a choice has to be made right at the start of the mission: on which side of the Nile are we going to build our main city?
